Kids Corner:
Kia ora Mātua. Here’s the story of Jesus on the beach told kid style. It’s a great lesson in how God loves to partner with us through life’s ups and downs. Enjoy!
Practising partnership. In the spirit of the story where Jesus helped Peter and his crew catch some fish and then shared a fishy breakfast feed on the beach with them, invite your child/children to prepare and cook a meal with you. Plan the menu together, and marry your skills and know-how with their energy and capability to create a meal you both can share. It can be as simple as baked beans on toast but the key is sharing the experience and creating something you can both enjoy.
As we come toward the final days of our level 3 rahui, planning, creating and sharing a meal together could be a great opportunity to celebrate with your child the return to life as we remember it.
Check this video out…fishing on steroids! Peter and his crew would be in heaven.
Youth Space: A fresh teen talk on John 21, when Jesus shows what a great guy he is by helping his mates get a sweet catch and then cooking them a decent feed. Get the low down with Laura and EKY.
Feel in a generous mood?
Everyone needs a little lov’n and in this season there are plenty of reasons why we should think about sharing this love in the form of $$. Here a couple of suggested causes that we think are worth your coin.
Through the Aroha Project, our friend Annie serves some amazing young lads in Cambodia so knows first hand the needs of the people in this beautiful part of the world. Their need has hit the roof now that they face the same challenges under COVID-19 with out the government support we have. So they are finding it pretty tough!
You can help by diverting your coffee money to full the bellies of a family.
Support the Salvation Army in their specific COVID-19 efforts to provide quality food to families, single mums and other ‘Bubbles’ in need.
