Introductions
Allow us to introduce ourselves…
Edge was established in 1999.
In the early days we found ourselves camped around the words of St John the divine in Revelation 19:10, ’Worship God, for the testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of prophecy’
We are cultural exegetes and creative imagineers, who are committed to the journey of redefining how ‘worship’ and the ‘prophetic’ shape our church community.
These 2 primary personality strengths underpin and continually challenge our practice of faith.
Edge Kingsland is a vibrant, eclectic, and creative bunch of people who do life around 3 main expressions.
Community, Mission, and Spirit Life.
Community is the idea that people need to be together; authentic in relationship, sharing a common purpose.
Mission is the meeting of faith, hope and love and the realization that Jesus was the perfect model of all these things. Our mission is to introduce people to this perfect example.
Spirit Life is our belief that everything about who we are is linked to a God who wants to intimately interact, and collaborate with us to influence peoples lives.

Support Edge.
How can you support Edge? How can we work together to become all that God has called us to be? Here are a few ideas:
Pray.
Please pray for the Elders, the staff, and all those who are leading and serving in different areas.
Volunteer.
Choose an area that you would like to serve in, or one where you see a need, and let us know that you would like to help out. Speak to Clint by calling the office during office hours.
Give.
Generosity is one of the core values of Edge. It’s something that’s in our very DNA - and this attitude is to extend into all areas of our lives as individuals, including our finances. One of the scriptures which we often refer to sums this up so brilliantly:
Proverbs 11:24 (The Message)
The world of the generous gets larger and larger; the world of the stingy gets smaller and smaller.
There are a number of ways that you can support Edge financially:
- use the eftpos machine on Sundays (located at the information table).
- cash/cheque donations can be placed into baskets/offering letterbox (in foyer) on Sundays.
- set up an AP (automatic payment) – download one of these forms from here.
- internet banking – Edge’s bank account details are 03 0155 0451009 000.
We’d like the thank all those that financially give into what we do here at Edge. Your support is amazing!
There are some admin matters around your giving that we would like to reiterate. This is to ensure you can claim the maximum amount back from the IRD at the end of the Financial year based on what you give:
1) When giving via the Eftpos machine on Sundays you need to write your full name (first and surname) on the back of the receipt and the reason for giving (i.e. tithe). There are lots of Ben’s and David’s and Hannah’s etc at Edge so including your surname will help us to accurately identify who gave so we can issue you a tax receipt at the end of the financial year, allowing you to claim a tax refund from the IRD.
2) If you give via AP then please ensure you are using the correct full name as a reference.
3) If you are a couple and give separately, and therefore want separate tax receipts at the end of the financial year, then clearly mark who is giving what and let the office know that you want it accounted for separately. It would help us if you notified of this now rather than at the end of the financial year. This just makes the book keeping a bit easier!
