A brief history of Edge.

Edge was established as a church in 1999. The primary motivation behind its inception was to be a church that reached the next generation, encouraged relational authenticity, nurtured creative gifting, and practiced an approachable and inclusive leadership style.

Our vision.

Life at Edge centres around three main expressions:
Community, Mission, and Spirit Life.

Community is the idea that people need to be together; authentic in relationship, sharing a common purpose.

Mission is the meeting of faith, hope and love and the realization that Jesus was the perfect model of all these things. Our mission is to introduce people to this perfect example.

Spirit Life is our belief that everything about who we are is linked to a God who wants to intimately interact, and collaborate with us to influence peoples lives.

Support Edge.

How can you support Edge? How can we work together to become all that God has called us to be? Here are a few ideas:

Pray.

Please pray for the elders, the staff, and all those who are leading and serving in different areas – who make the Edge community what it is.

Volunteer.

Find an area that you would like to serve in, or an area that you see a need in, and let us know that you would like to help out. Speak to Sara or Mike (call the office to speak to them) or ask the area leader how you can get involved.

Give.

Generosity is one of the core values of Edge. It’s something that’s in our very DNA - and this attitude is to extend into all areas of our lives as individuals, including our finances. One of the scriptures, which we often refer to, which sums this up so brilliantly is:

Proverbs 11:24 (The Message)
The world of the generous gets larger and larger; the world of the stingy gets smaller and smaller.

There are a number of ways that you can support Edge financially:

  • use the eftpos machine on Sundays (located at the information table).
  • cash/cheque donations can be placed into baskets/offering letterbox (in foyer) on Sundays.
  • set up an AP (automatic payment) – download one of these forms from here.
  • internet banking – please call George at the office for Edge’s bank account details.
